Vscode Code Runner Python

Hi I recently got a new macbook air for school and have downloaded vsc and python 3.9.7, with code runner, Pylance and Python. My task is to create a program that takes a bunch of grades and calculates the percentages and inputs them into a table, but i'm having trouble with the input function on mac. Use shortcut Ctrl+Alt+N. Or press F1 and then select/type Run Code, or right click the Text Editor and then click Run Code in editor context menu. Or click Run Code button in editor title menu. Or click Run Code button in context menu of file explorer. Python in Visual Studio Code. Working with Python in Visual Studio Code, using the Microsoft Python extension, is simple, fun, and productive. The extension makes VS Code an excellent Python editor, and works on any operating system with a variety of Python interpreters. It leverages all of VS Code's power to provide auto complete and IntelliSense, linting, debugging, and unit testing, along with the ability to easily switch between Python environments, including virtual and conda environments. There are possibly 2 tasks a code editor should perform whenever you write code in it - Linting and Formatting the code. Vscode supports multiple linters and formatters to help you out in your workspace. Before we create a workspace setting for our python environment, let's install a linter and a formatter for python. LiveCode evaluates your python code while you type and displays variable values for each line. LiveCode is available for free on the vscode marketplace. First, make sure you have python 3.5 or greater installed. Open a python file and click on icon in the top bar to the right to open LiveCode. Click on the icon again to close LiveCode.

A Visual Studio Codeextension with rich support for the Python language (for all actively supported versions of the language: >=3.6), including features such as IntelliSense (Pylance), linting, debugging, code navigation, code formatting, refactoring, variable explorer, test explorer, and more!

Installed extensions

The Python extension will automatically install the Pylance and Jupyter extensions to give you the best experience when working with Python files and Jupyter notebooks. However, Pylance is an optional dependency, meaning the Python extension will remain fully functional if it fails to be installed. You can also uninstall it at the expense of some features if youโ€™re using a different language server.

Extensions installed through the marketplace are subject to the Marketplace Terms of Use.
